 My Favourite of all time
Comes down to a 135/2L lens on a DCS 560 - it was and remains amazing
 C7070WZ... breathtaking at 27mm.
The Ricoh GR D MKI - I have a love/hate relationship with this camera. It simply is beautiful but the noise levels make it almost useless past ISO 100, far far worse than most cameras, the image is almost destroyed. An F20/30 sensor in a GR D body, with the Oly 7070 27mm end lens, that would be possibly heaven.
 Coolpix A
 Unbeatable at 28mm
Nikon P300 - fantastic small sensor 24mm/f/1.8 compact - extremely small even with Nikon Leather case - great to take anywhere and pretty impressive low light performance for such a camera - the IS is amazing, shoot f/1.8 nights at 1/4 sec handheld
Fuji F20/F30/F31fd - basically the same model - the F30 was stunning in its day and even now usable.

 Best makes
In my experience for DSLR - Nikon, Canon and Fuji
For Bridge - the old Oly's 7070/8080, the FZ series, the 5400 was well built and neat
For wide - the Panasonic LX range, the Oly 7070/8080, the 5400
For low light compact - Fuji F20/F30 ruled completely back in the mid 2000's
For Travel - the Panasonic LX series and the smaller FZ's, the Ricoh GR D.

 Favourite 2 Megapixel Images

 https://pbase.com/ed1994/image/33881349/original (2 megapixel FZ2)
 https://pbase.com/ed1994/image/38024168 (2 megapixel DCS 520)

 My Favorite Cameras
 Coolpix A - seriously underrated
Olympus 7070WZ - best bridge ever - superb fluid UI and buttons/dials
Kodak DCS 560 (coupled with the 135/2L) - my #1 of all-time greats
Ricoh GR D (MKI) - love/hate - mostly love - best UI ever - photographers dream (except for image quality)
Lumix FZ5 - very very fond memories
Nikon D2H - machine gun - ergonomic perfection
Fuji F20/F30 - used to be unbeatable

Various models of the Casio EX TR series (TR 80, TR 100 Tryx)

Camera phones are so good now that will use my Moto X Play (20MP) for most stuff.
Next camera for Moscow will be an original GRD MKIV I think.

 2016
For travel I need to be very light with no heavy camera gear.. taking a Coolpix A (28mm compact with DX sensor). Also will use my Nokia 1020 Smartphone camera (41MP and 25mm wide 16:9) with the added PD-95G camera grip.

 Nikon Coolpix A
 Nokia 1020

 2013
 C8080WZ
 C7070WZ (since '07)

 2012
Fuji F30+ (to replace the F20, basically the same camera though)
 Olympus E-1
 Lumix TZ9 (used briefly)

 2011
 Fuji F20
 Olympus 5050Z - predecessor of the 5060WZ/7070WZ/8080WZ.

 2009
Pro 815 - Head to head with the Oly 7070 as the best Prosumer Camera I have used
Contax TVS Digital Old, Quirky and Lovable. Image Quality so-so but capable of good results.

 2008
F30 A legendary Compact - if you don't believe me check the reviews and Internet chatter
GR D Beautiful.. and noisy, but I look back with very very fond memories - likely will get another (2011 note)!
D2x Superb but so large. Not my ideal travel camera for sure! (Spent 2 months traveling around Ukraine with it!)
DSC-R1 Mindblowing in many respects, but as large as an SLR. Lens makes up for it though*
DSC-S40 Nice little 4.1MP compact. Unpretentious vanilla as they come.*
G9 Overrated and noisy. Ergonomics not that great. OK at low ISO though*
S10 Quite a nice shooter. Underrated in my opinion. A bit like a 990 on steroids. Superb Bokeh almost unbelievable.

 2007
7070 Superb Camera - Best Semi-Compact I have ever used, 27mm often was stunning

 2006
G5 Much the same as the G2 but a more solid feel and increased res.
G2 Neat and fast lens.. sharp... seems ancient now!
FZ5 Better FZ2 same ergonomics - used *very* heavily by me

 2005
FZ2 Work of Art - greatly impressed by this little thing
Leica Digi2	A nice camera with a nice lens that produced some quality "Leica'rish" results
D2H Fast as Hell... and ultimately flexible - very very likeable
DCS 560 One of the best Cameras I have ever owned if not THE best esp coupled with the 135/2L
Leica M6	Oldie and made me feel quite nostalgic but heavily overrated

 2004
D1X Solid as a Rock... Literally - the only machine I'd take into a war zone!

 2003
Nikon 5400- $1000 USD in Moscow October 2003... build was awesome and then some.

 2001
 Kodak DC3400

 2000
Canon D30 - first DSLR... managed to get even though was in very short supply!
Original 2.1MP Ixus Digital the S100...
A Kodak... can't recall model but worst camera ever owned.... ahhh the DC215 !!!!

 July/August 1998
Kodak DC265 - oh... the memories....
